When you keep your bath ball dry, nothing happens. When it takes the plunge, it creates an acid-base reaction due to the presence of two friendly ingredients: citric acid + sodium bicarbonate = Fizz!!! Indeed: carbon dioxide is released with a profusion of bath happy balls.
This remarquable bubbling duo is totally biodegradable and non toxic. Sodium bicarbonate has been in the cosmetic spotlight for a while now (because it’s worth it) and its natural fellow citric acid can be found in many veggies such as lemon. All in all a pleasant company for kid’s bath.
