The Appaloosa is a breed of saddle horse native to the northwestern United States. The great peculiarity of these horses is to have very often a spotted dress. It generally measures from 5 to 5 1/2 feet tall with a weight of 800 to 900 pounds. The Appaloosa is a horse with docile and quiet character, but who is also lively and receptive. For the rider, it is a horse that is strong, resilient, agile and manageable.
