Búho, SS24, launching end of January
SS24 Sneak Peak
CouCou (hello!) everyone and welcome back to our blog! Today, we have a very exciting topic and it’s all about spring/summer clothes for kids. It’s no secret that we pride ourselves on the amazing brands that we carry here at CouCou. And, we know that our tight-knit community feels the same way. With each drop, we’re blessed with an overwhelming response, which only further fuels our fire to source even better collections for the next season!
Now, for the first time ever, we’ll be sharing a sneak peek of what you can expect to find this spring at CouCou from some of our amazing brands. If you’re living somewhere cold, consider this to be the spring/summer inspiration you need to get excited for the warmer days ahead!
Florals for spring? Okay, we get it, it may not be that groundbreaking. But, that doesn’t mean we aren’t excited! After all, florals come in so many varieties. And, it’s more about what the florals will be paired with, which gets us excited. You can expect to see plenty of variety in the upcoming SS24 season since each of our brands has a very distinct vibe! The one theme that will remain consistent is bold, repeated prints, and lots of stripes in varying designs like multicolour, horizontal, vertical, and even zigzags.
The beauty of prints is that no rules apply, especially when it comes to kids' summer clothes! And, at CouCou, we’ve never shied from mixing unexpected prints. You’ll also see plenty of gingham and original designs that feature not your average little dinosaurs and jellyfish for boys.

Emile et Ida, SS24 launching February
With our love for retro fashion, we celebrate brands that create unique designs that feel fresh and new yet comforting and nostalgic. Some of our hero brands like Misha and Puff and Hello Simone are experts when it comes to patterns, mixing unexpected patterns and fabrics together to create beautiful designs that are reminiscent of the 60s and 70s.
Sneak Peeks From
Our Brands at CouCou
In CouCou’s world of fashion, we tend to gravitate towards exceptionally special brands that value retro old school fashion. Each brand uniquely weaves past decades' nostalgic style into their modern day collections. And, while each of our brands is distinct from each other, they share a passion for paying homage to previous decades like the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s.
The “Paris is Blooming” collection by Émile et Ida is inspired by the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics to be held in Paris. Created by founder and designer Delphine, the collection is centered around the bright colors of the Olympic games, with the addition of pink! Expect to see bright-colored wildflowers on blouses, dresses, and knitwear that let fraternity, love, and joy blossom. This collection draws inspiration from the picturesque gardens, parks, and balconies in Paris. Each piece looks and feels like it deserves to be worn to the stunning Jardin du Palais Royal or Tuileries!
Émile et Ida’s summer clothing for boys exudes retro coolness. Nodding to the 80s, their SS24 collection feels vintage yet completely timeless. And, it’s consistent with the upcoming season’s love of all things patterned! Get ready for lots of stripes, retro styles, and bright pops of colors such as cobalt blues and tones of brick and bright mustard. Terry cloth material continues to be firmly present in most collections, and, whilst 70’s short shorts are still popular, we are seeing a return of longer board shorts as well!
piupiuchick ss24, launching January 17
Piupiuchick’s SS24 collection will bring a mixture of patterns that are already a stamp of Piupiuchick collections. Expect big stripes mixed with delicate, little flowers. In addition, big flowers will be mixed with animal prints to create a collection of different textures. By mixing soft and fun prints and different textures it creates a comfort that intentionally considers how the collection can be mixed and matched. This collection will bring back the 80’s and 90’s, both decades that are strong references for Piupiuchick.
Another trend that you’ll see consistently across our brands here at CouCou this SS24 is the use of purple, apple green, royal blue, and red, woven in with some neutrals. Piupiuchick as always has the best mixes of color! They never shy away from pink and purple for boys, creating many unisex looks within their collection. This season they did not disappoint, delivering playful and retro colors on all fronts, with graphic designs that feel fresh and cool.
Hello Simone, SS24
Búho hails from Spain and keeps it more classic with easy-to-wear cotton separates in mostly solid colors in washed-out vintage hues of blue, green, and red, with some playful patterns sprinkled throughout. This collection for SS24 feels as though it’s made for sandy beach days. It’s cool, lightweight, and breathable for the summer’s warmest heat waves!
The Campamento is a newcomer from Spain that CouCou recently began carrying in AW23. And, it’s quickly captured the hearts of our CouCou family for its retro-inspired tracksuits. Imagine 70s and 80s-inspired tracksuits in terry cloth fabric featuring bright colors and washed neutrals. The Campamento expertly threads retro style through each of their boys collections.
And of course theres always the French brand Hello Simone, whose creator/desinger Tifenn Audidier, never disappoints with her unique mix of vintage prints. If we could bottle our childhood nostalgia with one brand, Hello Simone would be it.
This SS24, expect to see a vibrant palette of patterns and colorful hues, blending retro vibes from the 60s to the 90s. From florals to stripes, each collection promises a unique fusion of nostalgia and contemporary style. Neutrals and bold colors like purple, apple green, royal blue, and red offer a playful summer wardrobe for kids that can be enjoyed by both parents and kids! At CouCou, our curated selection for SS24 promises a refreshing mix of timeless designs, ensuring that every little one can step into summer with a fashionable nod to the past and a modern twist. We hope this blog inspired you to start prepping your little one’s summer wardrobe, giving you even the slightest escape from the reality of winter!
